We all have an amazing camera in our pockets - we just need to learn how to use them properly! Whether you want to take better holiday photos or videos, need to take better content for your social media, or just get into photography as a hobby, we have a smartphone masterclass for you.
Jet’s ethos is that photography should be available to everyone, not just those who can afford a ‘big’ camera. With this in mind, on 1st Apri 2020 (just at the start of a global pandemic), Jet Black Squares was born, and she left her corporate photography business of 14 years behind her.
Jet Black Squares has since grown exponentially, and now have guides all over the UK, Ireland, France and even as far away as New Zealand. Smartphone videography workshops have also been added in some areas too. As well as teaching individuals and groups, their corporate clients have also grown, hosting names such as Meta, Samsung, LinkedIn, KPMG, Deloitte, We Soda (Turkey), and Unilever to name a few (you can see the full list of our corporate clients HERE).
Jet regularly teaches at a creative retreat in Skyros, Greece, as well as travelling all over the world hosting workshops or delivering talks, either in person or via Zoom.
JBS Community Workshops CIC
JBS Community Worshops CIC is a not for profit company that runs alongside Jet Black Squares, allowing us to run smartphone photography and videography workshops for low income communities, sign language sessions, social prescribing (for low level mental health), etc, Through grants and funding, we aim to deliver workshops to members of the community from underrepresented groups.,allowing us to help build a community of people who have discovered a love of photography,
Meet Jet
JET
Jet is the founder and Creative Director of Jet Black Squares. Combining her former teaching career in the East End of London with a more recent corporate photography business of 14 years, she has created a hub for everything creative surrounding the smartphone. Her passion is showing people of all ages how to get the best photos from their phone - she believes that photography should be available to everyone and not just those who have a ‘fancy camera’. Jet’s infectious enthusiasm is evident for all to see, whether teaching the CEO of an international company, presenting to a conference of 100+ clients within the travel industry or an 85 year old grandma. She can often be seen whizzing around the streets of Hertfordshire on Basil, her gorgeous Vespa scooter.
