Annabel has had a love for photography ever since she acquired an old 35mm film camera as a teenager, and discovered the lure of black and white photography and the darkroom. Since then, whilst following her career as a Paediatrician, she has gained her LRPS, and a Masters in Documentary Photography - ploughing through cupboards-full of bulky photographic equipment along the way.
However, a revelation happened in 2018 whilst facilitating a teenage photographic project, when she realised the amazing potential of the Smartphone. She became a total convert, and has not looked back. She now has fun with apps and editing tools, the modern reincarnation of the darkroom. Eager to help others discover their dormant creativity, she started a Smartphone Photographic group in Lymington, and recently curated an exhibition of their selected work. They all now have their favourite images hanging on their walls! Now Annabel would love to reach out further, and inspire you, by leading you on your Smartphone Safari.
Having now retired from the medical profession, Annabel enjoys nature and the outdoors through walking and cycling. She looks forward to welcoming you to the delights of the Solent and the New Forest, and revealing to you the joy of responding to the moment with your pocket-sized wonder.
