With the ease of taking snaps on our smartphone, we often come away from our summer holidays with huge number of photos. Yet, a lot of the time, those memories will remain in the Cloud rather than being enjoyed again and again. So, what can you do with all of your holiday photos? Well, thankfully, there’s a lot of options out there that are quick and easy when it comes to designing, printing and sharing your holiday snaps.
Last year, we took a look at photobooks and some of the best and most affordable options on the market. You can read the full blog here. In this blog, we are going to look at other design and print options that will make a beautiful display of your holiday photos.
Collaging your holiday photos
While many of us will remember making photo collages back in the day from cut out prints we got developed at Boots, today, things have got a bit more technical, but are still as much fun.
Designing your photo collage
There are lots of apps and browser sites where you can now upload your holiday snaps and create a beautiful collage with fun graphics and text too. This is the perfect activity for those rainy autumn weekends indoors with the kids, as everyone can get involved to create a colourful holiday collage.
One of our favourite sites to create collages on is Canva. Its basic version is free to use and you can upload lots of images quickly. It also has a whole host of graphics, stock photos, audio and videos available on the pro version depending on the kind of collage you want to make and where you want to present it. The sky is the limit!
Printing your photo collage
Once you’ve designed your photo collage, you can download the file as a high-quality PNG, share it directly to your social, or have it printed through Canva’s own service. Having the digital copy also means you can take it anywhere and have it printed in the way you want – as a framed picture, a poster, or a canvas – all options are available.
Many of these print options are very affordable too, which gives you the freedom to edit and create personalised collages for different members of the family or as gifts.
Creating a photo collage with Mixtiles
Mixtiles produce small frames that you can easily group together, either randomly or on a theme. This is another great way to collage your holiday snaps. You can put together all photos or mix photos and art prints to create an eye-catching wall feature made up of small frames. The frames are attached to the wall or surface by a sticky sheet that can be easily removed. This means you can swap the position of your photos or add more as you go.
No matter what option you go for, putting those precious holiday memories into print will make them available to look back on for years to come.
