Creating the perfect holiday
Wendy gives her guests the chance to create a one-off holiday experience. You can relax in the elegant and comfortable B&B, enjoy a glass of the Minervois wine and a freshly prepared meal by Chef Simon, and book a photography excursion with Wendy as your guide.
Smartphone photography locations
Wendy will offer a range of smartphone photography group tours, 1:1 and family safaris, as well as food photography and wine-tasting sessions. These can be booked alongside a stay or as individual tours.
Carcassonne
Meet Wendy in the historical city of Carcassonne with its 52 towers and double ramparts. Explore and photograph the medieval streets, quaint shops, drawbridge and surrounding castellated walls. There are lots of opportunities to try out different compositions while enjoying this beautiful historic city.
Canal du Midi
The canal is a World Heritage Site built between 1667 and 1694. There are many beautiful villages and cafés along the Canal du Midi. This safari provides opportunities to photograph flora, fauna, locks, bridges, and boats as well as the Canal itself.
Gruissan
Going on Safari in Gruissan provides opportunities for seascapes, flamingos and an impressive round tower to capture, or to climb for the view! This is a discovery of reflections, a pink sea, narrow streets, chalets on the beach and flamingos wading and feeding. Discover the capabilities of your camera over a coffee, before exploring the many faces of Gruissan.
Tourouzelle & the River Walk
Enjoy a relaxing walk with your smartphone as we use a variety of techniques to capture the scenery in and around the medieval village of Tourouzelle. The early walk usually guarantees the river is calm, providing us with opportunities for beautiful reflections on the river of traditional buildings, vegetation and birds. We can also do some artistic macro shots of flowers and experiment with the camera’s ability to focus. Our circular walk brings us back into the village to photograph the historical buildings, steps and arches. Pictures can be edited afterwards over a complimentary croissant and coffee breakfast.
Grotte du Limousis (cave)
Bring your Smartphone, walking boots and a light sweater on Safari to this beautiful cave. The walk along the caverns takes about 45 minutes, which maintains an all-year-round temperature of 12 degrees. There are beautiful examples of stalactites, stalagmites and a huge crystal that is formed from the ceiling at eye height. There are also opportunities for photographing the reflections in the pools and dripping water.
Food Photography
This Smartphone Safari gives you tips, tricks and techniques for taking photos of food. We can also create some artistic action shots in the kitchen or at your own restaurant. Afterwards we can edit photos or put them together as a movie for your social media account.
Wine Photography with a Wine Tasting
Are you a vigneron? Do you need to photograph wine and vineyards for your website or social media accounts? This Smartphone Safari will guide you to take better photos of your produce.
If you enjoy wine or would like to try the wine from the Minervois wine region of France then this is your opportunity to sample it and photograph it! We can also do some artistic shots in the vineyard and experiment with the camera’s ability to focus.
